Annual Awards

The annual awards project “Chance for the Talent” aims to support the training and performance of talented children and young people in the sciences, humanities, arts, technology as a stage in the process of continuous learning, education and development. For 15 years we have supported individual awards and distinctions for talented children and young people. Over 85 children from across the country have been honored through the Awards, Scholarships and Honors program, and 12 of them have won the Foundation’s Chance for Talent Grand Prize.

Awards included:

  • Two cash prizes (up to 300 euros) for young people with financial difficulties who have achieved significant success in science or the arts
  • Two individual cash prizes (up to 285 euros) for outstanding performance in national or international Olympiads, competitions and contests
  • The Chance for Young Talent 2026 Prize, which is awarded to outstanding young talent for excellence in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Through the programme, our laureates participate and achieve high success at prestigious European and world forums!

Eligibility criteria:

Freshmen with excellent grades who placed first to third in national competitions, Olympiads, competitions at the regional and national level in 2025 and 2026;
Regular students and students from 6 to 20 years old who placed first to third in international Olympiads, competitions and contests;
Children and young people from 6 to 20 years old with outstanding achievements and/or performances at the national or international level.
Eligible applicants should send the following documents to info@forbgkids.org no later than 30 September 2026:

  • Application form for the Annual Chance for Talent Awards Program; Brief presentation by the applicant related to the interests and field of science, art or technology for which he/she is applying;
  • Description of the awards and honors for 2024 and 2025; Copy of the document(s) certifying qualification in national and international science forums and Olympiads;
  • A document, certified by the relevant educational institution, containing information on the applicant’s success or a copy of the student’s gradebook;
  • An official income statement issued by an employer and/or a document proving that the parent is unemployed (in cases where an award is applied for a pupil or student with limited financial means);
  • A completed, signed and scanned privacy declaration. If the applicant is an adult, leave the ‘Legal representative of …’ field blank.
Documents certifying only participation in a tournament, competition or Olympiad or documents certifying receipt of incentive awards will not be accepted.
  • All attached documents must be in Bulgarian and in Cyrillic, and documents in a foreign language must be accompanied by an translation into Bulgarian.
