Chavdar Tsvetanov Lalov, 11th grade, “Geo Milev” Mathematical school, Pleven
Financial prize for an innovative project in the field of mathematics.
Theme of the project: “Generating sets of a fundamental algebraic structure”.
Summary: “In my project I come to interesting results for one of the most fundamental structures in mathematics, the so-called free omega-magma. Magma (from French) means something unformed, a mess. The analogy is that free omega-magma lacks standard properties such as associativity and commutativity. That it is free means that the only rule in the structure is that there are no rules other than axioms. I come to a solution to a task summary introduced by Acad. Drenski and Prof. R. Holtcomp by combining methods of generating functions, symmetric polynomials and the theory of free O-magma. “- Chavdar briefly tells about his project.
