Annual Awards for 2015

The annual awards project “Chance for the Talent” aims to support the training and performance of talented children and young people in the sciences, humanities, arts, technology as a stage in the process of continuous learning, education and development. For 14 years we have supported individual awards and distinctions for talented children and young people. Over 75 children from across the country have been honored through the Awards, Scholarships and Honors program, and 10 of them have won the Foundation’s Chance for Talent Grand Prize.

Laureates for 2015

Dimitar Yasenov Oparlakov, 7th grade, “d-r Peter Beron” school of mathematics, Varna


Full scholarship for the academic year 2015/2016 for the excellent performance in national and international Olympiads and competitions in mathematics.

He has significant achievements for the past two years: First place and a gold medal in the national round of the National Mathematics Olympiad Sofia 18 to 19 April 2015. First place in the national round of the National Mathematics Competition European Kangaroo, 7 June 2014. First place and a gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad, Daezhon, South Korea 19 to 25 July 2014.

Valeria Alexandrova Vasilenko, 6th grade, National School of Music, Sofia


Individual financial reward for excellent performance in national and international contests and competitions in the field of musical art – the prize will be used for participation in the International Competition “Piano Talents” in Milan in June 2015

She has significant achievements for the past two years: First and Special Prize at the prestigious International Piano Competition ”Karl Filch” in Sibiu, Romania. The competition is in the list of the Association of International competitions Martha Argerich. The best performance of a work by Bulgarian composer and a special prize of the 5th International Piano Competition “Schumann – Brahms’ in Plovdiv, 2014. First prize in the second age group in the V-th International Piano Competition “Schumann – Brahms” in Plovdiv, 2014. Second prize at the 4th International Piano Competition “Peter Topecher” 2015 in Kosice, Slovakia.

Radoslav Yuseinov Sailov, 9th grade, Hristo Botev school, Chepintsi

 

Scholarship for the academic year 2015/2016 for a gifted child with limited financial resources, for achievements in the field of literature.
Significant achievements for the past two years: First place in the “Hubava si moya goro, 21st century” National Competition, Ruse, 2014. Second place for essay “Pathways to Levski” in “Pathways to Levski” National Contest, Pomorie 2015. Golden diploma for the highest score in the national competition in Bulgarian language of the Association of teachers-linguists “Lyuboslovie” 2015.

Ana Dimitrova Dimitrova, 2nd grade, “St Kiril and Metody” school, Burgas


Individual financial prize for a talented child with limited financial opportunities for achievements in mathematics.

Significant achievements for the past two years: First place in the national final competition in mathematics MES and SBNU, 2014, Sofia. First place in regional competition in mathematics “Numbers and me”, Burgas 2015. Second place in “Acad. Nikola Obreshkov” Mathematical Competition, Burgas 2015.

Ekaterina-Viktoria Violetova Mironova, 12th grade, National Trade and Banking High school, Sofia

 

Individual financial prize for a talented child with limited financial resources, for achievements in the field of finance and economics.
Significant achievements for the past two years: Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, a national initiative “Manager for a Day” 2015 – Manager for a day and a certificate of achievement. First place in the National Student Competition on “Young people in the labor market in Bulgaria,” “Dimitar Tzenov” Business Academy 2015, Svishtov. Third place in the National student competition in Corporate Finances, 2015, Svishtov.

Stela Krasimirova Ivanova, 1st grade, “Lyuben Karavelov” school, Burgas

 

Individual financial prize for a talented child with limited financial resources, for achievements in the field of art.
Significant achievements for the past two years: First place in the “I paint” National Contest of SBNU, 2015. First place at the IX National competition “The sea is not for a vacation” 2014 ODK Burgas. First place in Fine Art in the XIV National folk music competition “Orpheus Spring”, Stara Zagora 2014.

Individual financial prize for a talented child with limited financial opportunities for achievements in the field of physics.
Significant achievements for the past two years: First place of Autumn national physics competition, in November 2014, Pleven. Second place at the Spring National Competition in Physics, March 2015, Varna.
