Project Description: The project “Shopping Energy” aims to develop an alternative and accessible method for generating “clean” energy by designing a shopping cart that produces electricity through mechanical movement. While shopping, energy is generated via a generator that converts the mechanical energy from the cart wheels into electrical energy. This energy is stored in a rechargeable battery and can be used by customers to charge mobile phones. Any remaining energy after shopping is transferred to a larger battery, which can power store needs such as parking lot lighting or automatic doors.
