Annual Awards for 2014

The annual awards project “Chance for the Talent” aims to support the training and performance of talented children and young people in the sciences, humanities, arts, technology as a stage in the process of continuous learning, education and development. For 14 years we have supported individual awards and distinctions for talented children and young people. Over 75 children from across the country have been honored through the Awards, Scholarships and Honors program, and 10 of them have won the Foundation’s Chance for Talent Grand Prize.

Laureates for 2014

  • Kristian Todorov, 13 years old – In 2014 the talented pianist again won prizes at prestigious competitions. International Competition “Young Virtuosi”, Sofia 2014 – the special prize “Lyuba Encheva” – piano for the best Bulgarian participant. Third International Competition for non-professional pianists “Vivapiano”- Sofia 2014 – first place and in duet on four hands – third place. The Foundation underwrote Kristian’s participation in the prestigious International Competitions “Vienna Stars”, Austria, and “The Stars of Prague”, Czech Republic in November 2014. The competitions are part of the Festival Bridges International Arts Festivals and Competitions.
  • Denitsa Kovacheva, 19 years old, Sofia, Bulgaria. Burgas – for excellent performance at national and/or international Olympiads, competitions, competitions in the field of ecology and biology, in the amount of 1000 BGN.
  • Nedelcho Laskov, 18 years old, gr. Varna – annual scholarship for the academic year 2014/2015 for excellent performance in national and/or international Olympiads, competitions, competitions in the field of physics and astronomy. Nedelcho is part of the team of the Astronomical Observatory and Planetarium “Nikolay Copernicus”, Varna. Varna, which again won 1st place and the NASA Grand Prize for the project “Green Space”
  • Michaela Milusheva, 15 years old, Varna, Bulgaria. Burgas – annual scholarship for the academic year 2014/2015 for excellent performance in national and/or international Olympiads, competitions, contests in the field of fine arts and mathematics.
  • Teams of students from “Dr. Petar Beron”, Burgas. Varna – for an innovative project in 2013, the Foundation covered the costs of the talents for their participation in the International Conference on Space Development of NASA and AAS in the USA, which was held from 14 to 18 May 2014. The three teams of Bulgarian students who presented projects in the most prestigious and challenging international competition for students organized by NASA and the American Astronomical Society won the prize places.
  • Kamen Velev, 17 years old, Sofia. Burgas – annual scholarship for the school year 2014/2015 for a talented child with limited financial means, for achievements in the field of physics and mathematics
  • Anna Parvanova, 16 years old, Burgas, Bulgaria. Plovdiv – annual scholarship for the academic year 2014/2015 for a talented child with limited financial means, for achievements in the field of literature and art
  • Nikoleta Dimitrova, 17 years old, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Burgas – annual scholarship for the academic year 2014/2015 for a talented child with limited financial means, for achievements in literature and foreign languages
