Training in digital global citizenship
The Bulgarian DCYDE! Team is heading to Vienna: Training, Partnerships, and New Horizons
19-21 May 2025
Location: Vienna
Date: from May 19th to May 21st
From May 19 to 21, 2025, representatives of the Bulgarian team in the project DCYDE! – Digital Global Citizenship Education for Youngsters and Educators in Partnership will take part in a key international meeting in Vienna. The event includes three core components: a train-the-trainer seminar, a public networking event, and an internal consortium meeting.
Our participation in Vienna aims to strengthen our capacity to deliver training in digital global citizenship, while also creating new opportunities for collaboration with educational, youth, and civil society organizations from across Europe and the Global South.
The Bulgarian team will include representatives from the Chance for the Children and the Nature of Bulgaria Foundation – we are actively engaged with youth and educators in non-formal education. The team includes trainers, youth workers, and key partners from education and civic sectors. A special focus will be placed on including members of the project’s target groups: young people, teachers, researchers, local authorities, and CSO representatives.
Why DCYDE! Matters?
DCYDE! addresses the need for modern, sustainable, and inclusive education that prepares young people for life in an interconnected world. Through online and hybrid training formats, the project builds transnational learning communities of trainers and youth working together for positive change in their communities and beyond.
What’s coming up?
- May 19 – Train the Trainer seminar for trainers who will lead national-level workshops. Topics include digital global citizenship, gender equality, discrimination sensitivity, and facilitation techniques. The seminar features innovative educational approaches and hybrid teaching methods.
- May 20 – International Networking Event, open to participants from various countries and sectors. Discussions will focus on gamification in online learning, the role of arts in global citizenship education, and perspectives from the Global South. This is a unique opportunity for idea exchange and collaborative planning.
- May 21 – Consortium Partner Meeting to discuss project progress, upcoming activities, and strategic planning.
We look forward to the new opportunities, knowledge, and inspiration that await us in Vienna!
